Wolwedans Dunes Lodge

Wolwedans takes its name from the Afrikaans language meaning "where the wolves dance". It is nestled in the heart of the NamibRand Nature Reserve and affords panoramic views of the red dunes in all directions.

Across this diverse canvas of contrasting landscapes traverse an exciting variety of large and small desert creatures - as wild and ancient as their habitat.

The building style combines wooden structures with large canvas blinds, and windows that open up to the desert beyond. The main complex consists of 2 lounges, a number of sundowner decks, a fireplace, a tea deck, a library, the wine cellar and 2 dining rooms. All communal areas of the lodge open out onto verandas with superb views.

Activities include hot-air ballooning, scenic plane flights to the Diamond Coast and Sossusvlei, hiking and mountaineering.
