The Desert Homestead

Located 35km south-east of Sesriem, Desert Homestead is sheltered by the Nubib, Tsaris and Naukluft mountains with views of the Namib Desert.

There are 20 chalets all built using local materials and decorated in an ethnic African style. The swimming pool in front of the main building is good for a refreshing dip and is well utilised throughout the year.

Join in on a sundowner drive or guided walks. Excursions to Sossusvlei, the Naukluft, scenic flights or quad biking can all be arranged.

The Desert Homestead has excellent riding horses, all docile and easy to handle. You can choose between several out-ride options, especially the sunrise and sunset rides.
